• So basically I am using this theme named DWFocus by Design Wall. It has a new slider to display recent posts. If a featured image is not set, the post doesn’t show in the news slider! Therefore, I wanted to use this plugin to automatically set a featured image, if one is not set, so that the post will show.

The problem I am having is that the post still doesn’t show up in the news slider when i use this plugin. It does show up in the post though!

When it sets a default image, does it actually use the featured image funtion of wordpress or is it just embedding a picture in the page?

    Can this be fixed somehow?

    Hello melki,

I don’t know how DWFocus fetches the featured image. But my plugin works with all build in featured image functions.
It fetches everything pretty much before any WP can do stuff.

Are you making exceptions like I suggested on the FAQ?
Are you using a caching plugin?
Does the Default featured image show on other pages, places?
If not, does it work if you switch to a default themes?

Hi, the image does show in the page, it just doesn’t show in the news slider plugin, which is why i wanted it in the first place. When i set a featured image manually it works and it does show in the news slider. ??

    Hi melki,

I’m afraid I can’t test it because I don’t have the theme. I am 90% sure the theme does something wrong.
I hate to say it but I can’t help you. Maybe you can ask support from the theme developers?
