    Hi,

I am searching for a way to create dynamic menus for connections categories. I have a few parent categories and MANY child categories. Currently the categories widget and sorting options don’t fit my needs. A visitor might not even realize that there are multiple parent categories, so I want each parent to be it’s own UL, with child cats as LI.

I am not good with PHP, but im fine with html and css, so this is sort of a problem for me, since I believe I am at the edge of my knowledge/ abilities.

I have been looking at a plugin from codecanyon called ubermenu which seems to fit the bill, but I am not sure how to implement it with connections to dynamically populate the menus. Here’s a link to the plugin I’m talking about:

Or maybe there’s another or better way? I know that it’s a very extensible plugin, I just don’t really know where to begin.

I know exactly what you’re asking for, unfortunately, the category widget for Connections is not flexible enough for what you want to do. I do recognize this deficiency and I have already rewrote a huge chunk of the underlying logic that would help do something like this. I’m already 90%+ finished with that code but the last 10% is always the hardest/takes the longest, so I really couldn’t give a reliable eta. Right now the only option would to be custom code it in PHP or hand build the menus.
