Dynamic content via custom JSON

Hi, I’m working on a slider that gets its content from json and I tested it on html first to see if it works. I used the Owl Carousel from here:

I tried to implement it afterwards to wordpress hoping that it will work but nothing is happening. I even made sure that the owl carousel is set to display:block and the opacity is set to 1. Since this plugin says it uses all the same owl carousel capabilities, how do you recommend that I implement the custom json one?
