dynamic data for textfield ?

Hi,
I just learned about the wpcf7_form_tag_data_option filter, for dynmically populating default values. Great! Any reason, why this is only for checkbox, radio button and select?

Or, asked the other way: how do I get values from dynamic sources (e.g. from function.php) as defaults for text(area) inputs?
