dynamic discount pricing based on sales price?

If you want to apply discount only for sale items, you can create a list with all the sale items and select the list while creating pricing rule.

If you want to set discount for the whole products (globally), you just need to create a pricing rule with product list set to ALL and desired discount type (percentage / fixed discount or quantity based discount). Ref: https://imgur.com/a/8UemwPy

Or else if you want to set discount to selected category / set of products / need to exclude a set a products from discount, you can create a product list with the desired product set / category. Ref: https://imgur.com/a/v6NKw8E
To set discount for the created product list just need to select the product list while creating / updating pricing rules.

By default if you have sale price enabled (woocommerce backend) for any products, the plugin will consider the sale price as the base price for applying discount. If you need to set discount only for products which are on sale, create a product list with all the sale products and set discount for the same (select the list while creating pricing rule).

If so, I just suppose there might be some issue/bug.

There are almost one thousand products on my site, and here are my test process:

1. Clean all cache at both server and browser.
2. Activate only Acowebs Woocommerce Dynamic Pricing and WooCommerce, and Storefront theme:

3. set pricing rules as the screenshot: https://prntscr.com/rg6vq4, that means I set 50% discount based on SALE PRICE for all of products globally on site.
and there is no product list added since I just want to apply the discount rule site globally:https://prntscr.com/rg7l7v

Issue:

The discount rules will only applied for variable product based on sale price, but it will not work properly for Simple products, and it will based on regular price.

Here is an the screenshot of price setting at backend:

But the “sale” badge still does not show up on simple products.

Sorry, I think I just mislead you.

The discount should be based on regular price for both Simple products and variable products, but not sales price.

Because we need change the sales price according to marketing promotion purpose, the figure of discount percentage is much important to attract shoppers, and the figure of discount will be much small and less attractive if the discount is based on sales price.

For example, please check the screenshot:

The regular price of this price is 80.64, and we set sales price as 53.76, and 50% much attractive to shoppers.

but if the DYNAMIC discount is set based on sales price, the regular price will be show as 53.76, and I need set extra discount(4%) to show the sales price, plesae check the screenshot:https://prntscr.com/ru3x2z

50% is surely more attractive than 4%.

So, would you please change all discount based on regular price please?

Right now we have option for disabling discount rules on sale items (products on sale), we will consider adding an option for setting discount on sale / regular price.
