Dynamic Hyperlink – Add a Child record

    I am looking for a URL code example to add a record to a Child table by passing parent ID when creating a form from the Parent page.

    Use Case: Province and City list management

    Background: A page where all Provinces are listed, and there is a link named “Add a new city.”

    Approach: Data Publisher ([wpdataaccess pub_id=”5″]) main reason, I can add proper search capability.

    Table names: base_province (pk province_id) and base_city (pk city_id and fk province_id)

    Is it possible? or do you recommend another alternative? I would appreciate it if you could give an example.

    Hi Rahim,

    I’m not sure if I understand your question correctly, but have you considered using Data Forms? WIth Data Forms, users get a list of provinces and jump right to the city list. Maybe I misunderstood your question and we need to schedule a video call…? ??
