Dynamic string lang file

This file translates language names and operating system names, which probably have the same names in Sweden as in English ??

Hi again,

When deepeer look it seems some of the settings explanation text are using dynamic string. I also see lots of untranslated which is translated in the other po files so I belive you need to clean out some old stuff and merge some more strings into the main po file.

For example this text:
“List all the IP addresses you don’t want to track, separated by commas. Each network must be defined using the CIDR notation (i.e. 192.168.0.0/24). If the format is incorrect, WP SlimStat may not track pageviews properly.” is in the untranslated dynamic string.

Not sure where you got that information from, but if you look at wp-slimstat/admin/config/index.php line 65, you will see that this string is correctly associated with the ‘wp-slimstat’ textdomain, not to the dynamic strings ?? Please make sure to double check your statements and… send me your updated localizations! ??

Hi,

Now I can see same string in both dynamic and wp-slimstat. It was translated in wp-slimstat but incorrectly so therefore it was not showned in settings page.

I will correct the incorrectly translated sentence and mail you po and mo files.

To not confuse users shouldn’t you clean out mayority in dynamic at least the ones that exist in wp-slimstat?

This string:

“Hooks a javascript event handler to each external link on your site, to track when visitors click on them. If Browser Capabilities is disabled, outbound clicks will not be tracked regardless of which value you set for this option.” can’t I find into wp-slimstat po file at all. It is in dynamic but as you said earlier it don’t use dynamic so you need to add in this string into wp-slimstat.po or change the index file to pic up from dynamic.

Anyway seems to be some fixes from your side before I can mail you 100% correct translated po.

They look clean to me ?? I’m still very confused! As for the missing string, you can update the po from the source with poEdit very easily ?? I will do that for you, if you can’t or don’t know how to do it.

Yes thats the files I mean and if you search for Hooks in wp-slimstat file you will see that you dont find the above missing string there.

Translation via poedit I dont have any problem with as I’m running all translation in that tool already.

So my conclusion is that some of the string in Dynanmic po file should be moved into wp-slimstat po file. For example the one mentioned above.

“Reset SlimStat’s box order settings if one or more tabs are empty (no reports shown) or metrics are missing.”

“Expands each row’s details by default, insted of on mousehover.”

Thats all I can find all remaining is correctly showned and translated.

And if you have merge all above into wp-slimstat po file I dont see why you still should have the dynamic po file.

Strange, when I look into your Dynamic po files in above repo its not the same contents in mine. It seems that the lang files wasn’t correctly updated when I updated to version 3.0 through WP update function.

That can be the one of the confusion as you have the correct Dynamic on your side and I dont.

So best solution will be afetr you gone through both files and added in the missing parts, mail me both so I can load them and re-check.
