e-commerce slow to update products

looks like the e-commerce pages are down, thought id ask here. I’m offering multiple multiple variations(8 colors, 6-9 hook types, 3 eye types)and getting very slow updates. Is it the variations or could it be something like needing to change my xml sitemap settings to update static pages less regularly.
