E-mail addresses not encoded in backend?
-
Hi,
I apologise if I am missing the point of this plug-in. Not a programmer.
I want to be able to tell people who leave comments on my site that I have done everything I can to prevent their e-mail addresses being harvested.
I installed your plugin and activated it, then opened my back-end Comments page (https://…/wp-admin/edit-comments.php).
Using Firefox, I used “View Page Source” to look at the page in plain text. (“View Source” is not an option.) The e-mail addresses are unencrypted.
Am I looking at the page the wrong way?
Or does the plug-in not encrypt e-mail addresses in the back-end? And if not, do you have any advice for me about what I can do to protect these addresses?
Many thanks,
John
