• Hi there,

    First off, great plugin.
    Thanks heaps.

Originaly in the past I would have custom e-mail files with my child theme (Flatsome)
I did this so when there was an update to Woocommerce, my e-mail edits would not be over written.

I have since deleted my e-mail files from the child theme.

I have a question regarding where the edits are being saved when I make changes within the Designer? Are the default Woocommerce files being edited or the ones within the Email Designer plugin folder?

Should I be worried if I update Woocommerce, my edits will be over written?
I’d just like to understand how the plugin works.

    Thanks again.
    Richie

    Hi Richie,
The developer will be able to explain this better than I. He is currently traveling but should be available later this evening or early tomorrow. I’ll send this over to him.
    Thanks for your patience!

    Hey,
    Thanks for messaging.

Our plugin overrides the woocommerce templates. But it replaces the text with a function that allows us to call in text from the database of your site. So any time you make changes those changes are made in the database and not in templates. Our templates allow those changes to be called into the email.

If woocommerce updates nothing happens to your emails because they are all controlled through this plugin.

If you remove our plugin then the emails simply revert back to woocommerce standard output.

Let me know if that helps,

    Ben
