I have added a date field and a {hidden-1} field (to add incremental numbering), to the order form, so that the e2pdf can act as an invoice for the customer. It works fine when I place a test order as the customer – I get the view of the order pdf and a download pdf. BUT the admin email only gets the usual website form submission email, even though I have put the shortcodes in the admin email Email Notifications area. Is it possible for the e2pdf to go to the admin email as well as the customer reply email? I have watched https://youtu.be/JSs2lxZRfws?t=413 but it does not mention the admin email receiving the pdf.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @angelamd59,

    Hope you are keeping well.

I checked this on a test site but wasn’t able to replicate the issue. Can you please confirm if you were using the following shortcode?

    [e2pdf-attachment id="1"]

If yes, can you please share an export of the form so that we can take a closer look for you? Please share the export file using Google Drive or DropBox. You can find how to export a form here: https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#import-export

    Kind Regards,

    Hi Nebu John

    I had tried the [e2pdf-attachment id=”3″] on the Admin email, and when that didn’t work I tried [e2pdf-zapier id=”3″] and [e2pdf-save id=”3″].

    Many thanks for your help,

    Hi @angelamd59

    I hope you’re well today!

You just need to use the standard [e2pdf-attachment id=”3″] shortcode in your admin email, just like in user e-mail. It’s the same and is expected to work the same.

I’ve downloaded your form export and put it on my test site, then I’ve auto-generated a new template in e2pdf out of this form in order to test it and I can confirm that for both e-mails that I got – the “user” one and the “admin” one I received the same PDF as expected.

So while I can confirm that it works, we can rule out any possible bug in the plugin. I’m wondering though – have you tried to fill in the form on your site “as a visitor” using the same admin e-mail as your admin e-mail?

You should then receive two notifications to your admin e-mail, one would be “user” notification and one would be “admin” notification. I’m wondering if both would be missing PDF attached in this case.

Could you try this and let us know if both e-mails got PDF attached or just one of them (user only) or none? Just make sure to use the very same e-mail address for form submission as you are using for admin notifications.

    Kind regards,
    Adam

    Hi Adam,

I am using a pdf when I create the attachment as I need the organization name and address details on the invoice. When I added my own email to the admin email, I have another added problem now when I try to submit the form. I am getting these ‘Warning: No message defined for number-33’ on some of the form sections, which won’t let me submit the form. I have create a new folder on dropbox which contains the invoice pdf, a screen shot of the error message and a new export of the order form – https://www.dropbox.com/sh/3tcesoa84etq6t5/AAAn99Qgy7L12NV69BBHL-UTa?dl=0

    Many thanks for your help

    Hi @angelamd59,

I am getting these ‘Warning: No message defined for number-33’ on some of the form sections, which won’t let me submit the form.

Unfortunately, this is more of a known bug. At the moment, I’m afraid the message is part of jQuery validation and it appears when the Number field is empty.

The field needs to have a value or else it cannot be submitted at the moment. I’m reporting this behaviour to our Forminator team’s attention so that this could be given a closer look. Will keep you posted once we get further feedback asap.

Sorry for any inconvenience due to this.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin

Thank you for the explanation Nithin. This only happened when I updated the latest Forminator plugin.

    Hi @angelamd59,

This only happened when I updated the latest Forminator plugin.

I understand, as we have already mentioned our developers are working on a fix for this. Please roll back to an older version of Formiantor while we work on a fix for this.

    Kind Regards,

    Hi Nebu John

I added my email address to the admin notifications, and I populated all the fields on the form with a 0, and that let me use the order form and submit it. The result was it worked as it sent the attached pdf to the admin email. If didn’t work sending it to myself as well. But that is fine as all I need is the pdf to be available for the customer to see and download, and to go as an attachment with the order to admin.

So thank you for your help.
