I can’t edit or create appointments in the backoffice, and settings are not saved when modified.
In the FAQs you suggest to activate the Compatibility Mode. However, when I do so, it does not save the Settings either. It reverts to the previous configuration (not in Compatible Mode).
How do I solve this problem?

  • Same problem here!

    Hello,
    I had the same issue.
I turned off all plugins and re-enabled EA. That worked.
I turned on, one by one and for me it came out that the Polylang (3.0.2) plugin was the problem.
I do not need the Polylang (do not have the site translated yet) so I kept it disabled.
It is now working as it should be like before. Although I had to change all the email settings while they were gone.

Thank you elifafd for your suggestion. However, my site is multilingual and I do use Polylang, and cannot disable it.
Also I tested the plugin in a clean new testing site, and it works, so it is not a EA problem, but surely a conflict with some other plugin, or maybe javascript.
I also managed to activate the Compatible Mode by editing directly in the database EA options table, but it did not solve the problem. However, and this is for the EA author, I noticed that in the new installation the table wp_ea_options is filled with 56 records, while in the active site, this table is empty.

I made some more testings, either in a stag version of my site, and in a blank WordPress installation, only with Easy Appointments and Polylang plugins, and I confirm the problem is indeed a conflict between these two plugins.
If Polylang is active, Easy Appointments does not save anything in the administration area. Settings or appointments.
I does accept and save from the frontend EA form.

If anyone knows why I would much appreciate any help.
I cannot disable Polylang because the site is translated in 4 languages.
Easy Appointments is also required in the site for exhibition visits scheduling.
It has been working fine until the last updates (WordPress 5.7, EA 3.4.6, Polylang 3.0.2)

    Just found a solution.

If downgrading the plugin Polylang to a 2.9 version, Easy Appointments will work again.
Tested and it saves everything in the admin area.

Downgrading Polylang can be done with WP Rollback plugin.
I did that to version 2.9.2

Hope Polylang authors fix this problem ASAP.

I updated EA to 3.4.8 and Polylang to 3.03 and it works

    Hi elifafd

You’re right. It looks like the plugin authors fixed the problem.
Updating EA to Version 3.4.8, and Polylang to Version 3.0.3, and it all works fine.

    Thank you for noticing.
