• It seems when I add a new blog post to my blog page, it drops off the earliest blog. I understand the setting for 10 blogs per page, but it doesn’t seem to let me go beyond 5 pages (50 blogs). I have been unable to find any setting limiting the total number of blogs. Contacted my host (Hostgator) and they said there is no limit on their end.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • hi @kdseefari

I’m curious about what the settings are inside your dashboard. If you go to Settings then Reading is everything still on the default 10?

If I manually enter https://kdseefari.com/blog/page/6/ so I’m also wondering what theme you might be using. I suspect that there is a theme or plugin that might be stopping more than 5 pages from showing, but I can’t be sure. I would go ahead and double-check that there isn’t any interference from a theme or plugin that you might be using that’s causing the older posts not to show up.

While it’s not a best practice to have more than 10 posts per page, if there is a constraint caused by your theme or plugin, it might be worthwhile considering if you increase the number of posts to 12 or 15 per page since they are three columns in a row, that solution might help fit more posts per page as a quick fix.

Here are a few other considerations for you as you troubleshoot.

    1. Check the Pagination Plugin or Theme: Some themes and pagination plugins have limits on the number of pages that can be displayed. Check if you have a pagination plugin installed and, if so, try disabling it temporarily to see if the issue is resolved. If you are using a custom theme, check the theme documentation to see if there are any known limitations.
    2. Check for Plugin Conflicts: Sometimes, a plugin can conflict with WordPress, causing unexpected issues. Try deactivating all plugins except for the pagination plugin and see if the problem is resolved. If it is, reactivate each plugin one by one to determine which one is causing the issue.

    I hope this helps

    Thank you for the response.

I do still have the reading setting set to 10 posts per page. It does seem to be something that is limiting me to 5 pages.

I did systematically deactivate plugins and turn them back on, and it appears the culprit has something to do with Elementor. All my plugins are updated to the latest versions. I am using the Astra theme, so must be something within that or Elementor that is not compatible. I have reached out to Elementor tech support and am awaiting their response.

I’ll post whatever I find out.

It does sound like it could be an Elementor issue. Best of luck!
