• I’m a little unclear what this notice is all about:

A new RSVP / registration form is available that is easier to customize Upgrade?
Note: if you previously customized the form, you will need to redo your custotomizations for the new format..

What kind of customizations are we talking about? I don’t know if I previously customized my form or not!

Also the little link that says Upgrade? – what is that going to do if I click it?

I’m not sure that I want to Upgrade right now (that will depend on the answer to my original questions, but I would love a way to dismiss the notification until I decide!)

If you have been using the standard form, which asks for first name, last name, email, phone number (with a dropdown for type of number) and blanks for the names of guests, the new form will behave almost exactly like the old one. No reason not to upgrade.

The advantage of the new format is that it’s easier to customize your standard registration form, or the form for a specific event. Also, confirmation messages are a little neater.
