Easier video embed

  • I had some problems embedding Youtube, Vimeo, etc. videos in an existing post or page, and now I’ve discovered that “auto embed” feature only works in text totally clean of any format.

    Not only fails when, for example, media URL is pasted in a justified paragraph, but also when the alignment property is clean.
    User needs to use HTML editor to clean totally the line that contents the media URL.

  • It works fine for me without any of those provisos. Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
