Easiest way to run multiple blogs?

    I’ve been running a a blog using WordPress installed on my server for a few years now.

    I want to create 2 new WordPress projects in addition to this.
    1) a redesign of my old blog that will eventually replace my old blog once the design is done.
    And 2) an all new site design/ presentation/ mockup for another company.

    So I basically want to create 2 new blogs/sites that I can work on behind the scenes while my old blog is still up and accessible.

    What’s the easiest way to do this? The literature on this topic is vast and confusing and I’m finding myself lost. Is there a simple way to enable multisite? Or should I just install WordPress again in different directories? Thanks!
