Easily customize custom post type permalink

Hi there,

Im working with wordpress now more than 5 years and its the best cms I met.
So many plugins, so many themes, so much customization.

But there is one thing thats very bad:
The link structure of custom post types.

It started to create a portfolio page and wanted to create items.
The structure was:
– Item: site.com/portfolio/android-app
– Category: site.com/portfolio_category/apps

Since then I tried to get a structure like the normal posts:
– Item: site.com/portfolio/apps/android-app
– Category: site.com/portfolio/apps

That is all I wanted.

I tried many apps like custom-post-type-permalinks, but they never worked or caused a 404 error.

The only thing I want to do, is editing the custom post type urls like the post edit urls, to make them look like I want.

Would be nice to see such feature in the future and also to get some feedback ??
