Easy Accordion faq Items Won’t Open

    FAQ items won’t open on most browsers running on new WordPress install.

    – message “javascript:void(0)” appears upon hover in all browsers
    – Faq items open OK in Firefox
    – Faq items do not open in all other browsers, including Edge, Opera, Brave, and more. There is no error behavior, just non functional.
    – Tested with both WP 5.9 and WP 6.0
    – Tested with latest 2 versions of Easy Accordion
    – Fixes attempted:

    – Tried the wp_footer code fix suggested by support staff last year (NO CHANGE)
    – Tried the jQuery Migrate Helper plugin fix for plugin code issues (NO CHANGE)

    Sorry for the inconvenience. Hope you are doing great today.

    We have tested the page in Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari browsers. The Accordion is working perfectly on each browser without any issue. We would request you to resave all the shortcodes and clear the cache. If the issues remain, you can try login in from a different browser.

    Thanks for the response. I had already worked on it, although the solution isn’t ideal.

    FYI – the problem seems to be related to a conflict between your Easy Accordion plugin and a hosting plugin at Siteground hosting called “Siteground Optimizer”. This conflict isn’t present in Firefox, but in all other browsers. It may have something to do with Javascript compression. Have your team look into it when you can. Keep in mind Siteground is a fairly popular host, so you’re likely to have other customers run into this issue eventually. As a temp fix, I disabled the Siteground plugin; this causes some feature loss inside my WordPress dashboard and some speed losses in visitor load times, but it fixes the FAQ opening issue below.

    The Easy Accordion plugin is compatible with the Siteground Optimizer plugin if the Siteground Optimizer plugin is set up properly. But you found an issue. We have tested again at our test site with the accordion plugin and Siteground Optimizer plugin and no error was found.

    Please create a ticket there with the necessary information so that we can review it deeply and resolve it.
