Just want to add that Advanced Post Manager is a plugin that helps you with filtering and sorting in your WordPress admin dashboard, so in the back-end.

This will not help you on the front end.

If you are using The Events Calendar to manage events, then I can give you a recommendation for a filtering plugin. For filtering other type of data you will need to look around a bit.
