Easy Fancybox does not work properly

    Hi, My pictures won’t pop-up when I use the easy fancybox plugin. I deactivated and unistalled it, and installed it again but no succes. I already uninstalled Jetpack for conflicts. My theme is Evolve PLus and they say that it can be the Autoptimze plugin. I Uninstalled it but no success. So I installed it once more. Can you help me out?

  • Hi Fred, yes the Autoptimize plugin is very likely to break things.?Can you make it exclude all FancyBox related scripts? If not, deactivate it and clear all browser and server caches…

    Just had a look at https://www.eckkies.nl/wordpress-instructie/ and the picture shows in a pop-up for me?

    Anyway, you can indeed exclude the “easy fancybox” JS from AO JS optimization, cfr. AO FAQ for more info on how to troubleshoot/ exclude.

    @ravanh; given AO is active on over half a million wordpress sites it might be useful to do a quick test to confirm if it’s compatible by default or if a specific
    AO config (e.g. excluding fancybox JS) is needed. don’t hesitate to contact me (futtta-at-gmail-dot-com) if you have questions or need extra info!

    Hi @fredius are you still having issues? And if so, what did you set specifically in Autoptimize?

    I tested with Autoptimize with with HTML, Javascript and CSS optimization all activated (but advanced settings all default) on my dev site with 2017 theme and no other plugins. FancyBox keeps working fine there…

    Hi, no, I do not have issues with the plugin anymore. It seems to be a setting in async plugin but I leave it for now. But thank your for asking.

    I’ve tried so many variations of code that I’m stumped.

    I’ve been trying to launch an .html file with an embedded iframe that autoplays but it keeps going to another page on my site instead.

    Anyone have a solution?
