Easy to post articles

Hi I am a newbie so forgive the probably obvious question as I have just got to grips with setting up pages and menus on WordPress via the dashboard.

I have setup blog pages under menus and want to understand how I can allow people to create posts in these pages without using the dashboard as that is a very complex interface with many menu options. Do I need to install a blog form plug in of some kind?
