Easy to read pages

I am creating a WordPress site with mostly pages. On the some pages I want the sidebar to appear, so users can easily navigate to other pages and mostly have access to a limited amount of text. I want some pages to be for reading, so I would like to (1) remove the sidebar for easier reading (2) install an @FontFace font that I really like to show up on those pages only.

Can you recommend a way to do these two things that is the most efficient? I’m considering creating a page template for easy reading based on the existing templates, and don’t mind putting work in, but I want to make sure I am going about this the best way.
