• LifterLMS is the easiest of the LMS tools I’ve used to set up. The free core product offers a lot of the features a new online course site needs out of the box, like paid courses and memberships. I’ve used it with paid extensions to integrate into WooCommerce and to use Amazon S3 for video storage, but these are not necessary to build a course website.

While there are some occasions when another LMS plugin is more suitable, LifterLMS is my top choice for course creators working outside a university environment who want to offer online courses as part of their site or to build a site just for online training.
