• If you’re looking for something simple & straight to the point, then this is the plugin for you.

However, there isn’t much you can do if you’re not aware of style.css. I wanted to have some fields side-by-side & I had trouble organizing it as such, as well as changing the size of the fields.

Decided to switch over to another plugin and the other one works wonders.

  • Your conclusion that CF7 is “Easy to use, but not much you can do” and only suitable for “simple & straight to the point” forms does depend on whether you have suitable HTML & CSS skills.

??I use CF7 constantly for extremely complex forms with basic requirements like “fields side-by-side” etc.

Others reading this review, who have some basic HTML & CSS skills, should see Styling Contact Form for a general explanation of styling CF7 forms using CSS. There is a link at the bottom of the page to a comprehensive and detailed article on Styling Contact Form 7 Forms.

Don’t blame this wonderful plugin if your front-end or html and css skills are not good enough. There is plenty of information and websites about how to code front-end.

You can get the best of this plugin by creating your form first with plain html, css and all the javascript you need-want. Then integrate it with CF7. The change is minimum and it should very straight forward.

    Cheers!
