Easy Updates Manager not updating staging Site

    The Easy Updates Manager works great on my live site, but doesn’t seem to update my staging site. Is this the way the free version is supposed to work?

    No, it should work on both sites.

    Can you install the free plugin WP Crontrol and take a screen shot of your Cron Events. I don’t need to see all of them just the top few and they don’t need to be related to this plugin. It does need to be a screenshot and not the CSV export.

    Are you getting any error messages?

    So seeing the result of WP Crontrol made me suspect what the issue is. My sites are hosted on a shared server and the host turns cron jobs off on staging sites to save band width. If I want I could go in and set up a real cron job to make it work, but on these sits my clients don’t want to spend there budget for that. So I won’t worry about the staging sites. Easy Updates Manager has worked wonderfully on the live sites.
