Easy way in for a WordPress beginner

I’ve been coding websites for over 26 years (using HTML and ASP) but a complete newby on WordPress this week. After trying and failing with a few other themes, I found Neve a very friendly way into it. Using this to update a long-standing website with sliders, videos, gallery, and events calendar. Slow start but rapid progress. Using it to build a replacement website for an educational charity.
