Free Easycart is installed, appears to be working, I can make a test purchase, but we only have been using a standard business paypal account for Easycart. Is this insufficient? We have an IPN error coming up; paypal is failing because its still looking for the previous plugin Cart66 /store/ipn page. Easycart doesn’t use this page, I assume. I deleted the cart66 plugin but didn’t delete the ipn page, just in case it totally messed up paypal without it.
Also Do I need to add PayPal Express in order for Easycart to bypass the IPN error warning? Or will it work with standard version, and I just enter the correct ipn?(in Paypal)

I asked Paypal Merchant Technical helpdesk and they could not help me. They asked me to contact you, for the right connection info between Easycart and Paypal. We want to have payment notifications from Paypal, we dont want to lose it.
I notice easycart docs/administrative-console-guide/paypal-payment-settings/ says I can have a PayPal IPN Listener but I am not clear on what to put in the field for IPN.

    You say:

Just replace ‘yourwebsiteURL’ with your actual website URL and enable.

    or you also say

    ourwebsiteURL .com / ?wpeasycarthook=paypal-webhook

but which is it? just my website url , or do I put: /?wpeasycarthook=paypal-webhook as well?

So you likely have a paypal IPN setup over on paypal itself. You might jump over to paypal, go through your settings and profile area and look for the IPN and see if it’s set… if so, you can remove it over on paypal.

Every time a transaction happens on paypal it’s likely trying to send that to an old IPN, which if you removed cart66, you do not need anymore. EasyCart sends the correct IPN with a transaction so you don’t need to set one for EasyCart usually.

If you use EasyCart, you can get support at https://www.wpeasycart.com/my-account if you are a paid user. We don’t often check over here on www.ads-software.com. thanks

thank you so much for your quick reply. I have removed the IPN as you suggested. Since doing that, though, my shipping has gone completely wrong, Prior to removing the ipn, my shipping rates assigned to cart correctly. I had set NZ zone shipping rate at $3 for one book item, but the shopping cart refuses to use this rate anymore, and jumps to a standard rate of $4, which is not correct, and not relevant to NZ 1 item. Please advise how to allow shipping rate that I have set up? Otherwise there is no point testing a purchase.

IPN doesn’t do anything with shipping, so must be unrelated. I would need you to go to https://www.wpeasycart.com/my-account and you can submit a secure support ticket that way and we can assist properly.
