EasyModal for non-WP part of web site?

    I have recently switched to WordPress. I used to write very simple html/php code in the free version of HTML-Kit for a web site that I don’t update any more, but want to keep as a reference.

    Would it be possible to invoke EasyModal to show a pop-up for a part of my Web site that isn’t written in WordPress?

    I would appreciate advice for a good alternative if EasyModal isn’t the best option here.
