• I updated my plugins yesterday, and now I cant find the Eazyest Gallery on my Wp dashboard. The pict galleries i created in the copy of my pages wont show up in the browser if i uploaded them from my computer using Ezy gallery. All I can see is the alt text and caption. However the pix on my homepage that I inserted using URL addresses were not effected by this recent update. And pix on that I uploaded using the WP media are still showing on the pages. My home page is https://www.hunaoutfitters.com but the pages that were most affected were: https://www.hunaoutfitters.com/galleryfolder/hoonah-is-home and https://www.hunaoutfitters.com/bear-viewing-wildlife-tours/
I was trilled with the simplicity of using plugin so I hope its fixable. I am new to WP and not sure if maybe its just a simple click I missed somewhere. FYI, the plugin is active and shows up as installed. Thanks in advance for any Feedback!

  • Have you accidentally uninstalled the plugin in the progress?
Please go to Settings -> Eazyest Gallery and check if your gallery folder is still valid.

-thank you- When i go to Plugins is says active and it dosn’t give me option to reinstall. I went to setting->eazyest gallery and I do not see the folder “hoonah is Home”. What would cause this folder to become invalid?

What is the setting for your gallery folder now?

it is showing the default option, wp-content/gallery/, and is askin g me to tile and select a folder for a new gallery before I get started. I appears like it did when I first installed the plugin.

Okay, select the right folder and save your settings.

I did just as before, and chose the wp-content/gallery/ folder, titled it Hoonah Alaska, and i have a pink messages saying the slug is to long. It reads
    https://www.hunaoutfitters.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=eazyest-gallery&settings-updated=true
Not sure how i can clean it up?

The slug is down on the settings page.

I see that the gallery page Url dosn’t exist anymore. And I lost 48 pix out of my WP media library. It’s no big deal for me to re-load the pix other than time wasted, so is there any way to retrieve my previous gallery?

You have to set the title and slug exactly how you did it before.
If it doesn’t work, try go to Settings- Permalinks and Save your permalink settings again.
Or go to Eazyest Gallery – Edit Folder and click View to go to the folder and retrieve your Gallery url.
[edit] I have just visted your site. It seems you have to re-upload your images.

I set the title and slug the same way I did before, it does make a new folder but my images are no where to be found. I Checked my Permalink settings and they are the same as they have been, I re-saved as precaution.

I went into my pages and noticed the page that was https://www.hunaoutfitters.com/galleryfolder/hoonah-is-home, (that mentioned in the earlier part of the thread) is not there. It’s not in the trash or draft folder. It is GONE?!

Is your Eazyest Gallery menu back? Are any folders listed there?
If not, your folders may be gone.

I did find the folder still in my plugin settings – Yoast WordPress SEO: Titles & Metas settings page. Not sure where it went

Yes, I have the Eazyest Gallery Menu Back. There is 2 Trash folders but neither one have pictures in them. I did trash these folder a while ago, and they were empty when I did it. So no loss, but i am surprised they are there and my other one is not

Here is something interesting…. If i go into a page copy I can still see the Img for where the Gallery should be, but when i click on it, the screen pops up with all the option to edit the gallery, or add to it, but the pictures are not there. Blank!
