Hey there, I can’t link to the site publicly, but we’ve been using this plugin for over a year now and I’m noticing that there is the following error: https://screencast.com/t/UP579jOhS

Basically when I look at Google Tag Assistant I can see there are ecomm_pagetype values defined for the home page, product pages, and category pages, but I see them missing for Search Results pages and even the Checkout page which seems like a really important page type to define.

I’m not able to tell if the order confirmation page is tagged so that may or may not be an issue. I wanted to find out if there is a way to update this so all the page types are defined correctly, especially the Checkout page where people enter their payment details since that is such a key page.

    Please let me know. Thanks!

    Hey bud,

I just double checked and I now see the ecomm_pagetype for Search Results and also for the Checkout page where you enter payment details, but I was able to check an order confirmation page and it’s missing the “purchase” parameter for that page type.

Is there some way to make sure the Purchase page gets tagged correctly?

    Hi @dustinrm

There is an ecomm_pagetype parameter set for all pages. Also the purchase (or thankyou) page has this parameter set in the plugin.

If you made changes to the thankyou page, or using a plugin that changed the behaviour of the thankyou page, then this might be the source of the issue. But then this customization deviates from the WooCommerce standard. If this is the case, we can’t fix it.

In any case, for all pages where our plugin doesn’t recognize a specific sort of page, it would inject the ecomm_pagetype ‘other’. Therefore the error you posted in your first post should not appear at all. But I’ve seen that before on WooCommerce installations and can’t say where that issue stems from, especially as AdWords doesn’t give URL examples of such pages.

Could you send me the URL of a successful order to [email protected]? I would like to double check your finding.
