• I’ve decided to start using the <!–more–> tag to break long posts into two parts, thus shortening my feed enough to do a full-text feed.

Although I can post from Ecto to WordPress using this tag and the post appears fine on WordPress, when I try to edit the post in Ecto, only the text before the <!–more–> tag appears, making it virtually impossible to edit the post in Ecto. Oddly enough, the entire post appears in the preview pane at the bottom of the window when I select the post in the Entries & Drafts window. Double-clicking the post to edit displays just the first half of the post.

Is this a bug? Is there a workaround?

  • What version of WordPress and Ecto are you running?

Well, I just upgraded to WordPress 2.2.2. And I have the most current version of ecto for Macintosh.

The problem is different. I insert the <!--more--> tag and ecto properly sends it to WordPress. But when I reopen the same post in ecto, the <!--more--> is gone.

    Anyone have any suggestions?
