EDD: automate report generation

  • To create a certain Easy Digital Downloads plugin report, you: a) login as admin, b) navigate to an EDD admin screen, and c) press a button, which causes the report to be generated and downloaded. I’d like to automate that, and preferably email it, periodically. Are there any tools for this sort of thing? This resembles screen-scraping tools. I don’t want it to become a career. ??

    Can you tell me which specific report from EDD you want to automate? Is it a CSV export or a PDF report?

    Wow, that was fast! It’s the downloads->export->Export Download History in CSV. I might send it as a PDF, but CSV is fine, too. Thanks.

    Hi there,
    There isn’t a way of automating this out of the box. However with a little bit of code this could be possible.

    We’re looking to add download history to our JSON and XML API for a future release
