EDD with Digital Downloads for paypal

    Hi Mordauk,

    I tried to post this to your other forum but it wanted to charge me. I’d like to know if I have done something in EDD configuration that may be causing this issue below.

    But I got the plugin in you recommended – digital goods paypal plugin and have spent a week trying to get it to work. I have the plugin guy saying its not the plugin and paypal saying it is, I thought with all your experience you may be able to recognise the issue.

    The plugin guy, changed some code to make it show up in your digital gateway so I could check it, which was great – i have a feeling it’s could be a paypal issue or something I have done.

    – But the plugin is now sending me off the website to sandbox even when I choose standard paypal to purchase with. the paypal guy says the code needs to be changed in the plugin php to direct the purchaser not to the sandbox.

    I would keep pestering PayPal. Have them give you SANDBOX API credentials first so you can test it with test mode turned on, Then, when that works, have them give you LIVE API credentials so you can turn test mode off”’

    So I have pestered paypal and have emailed and are waiting on a response but was hoping you may have seen this before and have a fix suggestions also?

    is it possible I uploaded it wrong and to the wrong place in wordpress? Or Have I done or not done something in EDD area….?

    This sounds like a simple misconfiguration of the EDD settings.

    In Downloads > Settings > General, do you have the box that says “Test Mode” checked? If you do, then you need to uncheck that. When Test Mode is enabled, the PayPal Digital Goods gateway (and PayPal Standard included in EDD) will always go to sandbox.paypal.com.

    For PayPal standard or one of the add-on payment gateways?

    Hi, i have the same problem:
    i uncheked test mode, but PayPal Standard included in EDD still sending me to sandbox.paypal.com

    Show me a screenshot of your Downloads > Settings > General.

    Pippin, thank you for pointing me to the right place, i inspected that
    Downloads > Settings > General and spotted there one more ‘Test Mode’ check box, which i have overseen. I unchecked the one on the Payment Gateway Settings page.
