• I would like to reduce the height of the space where the header image goes. I’m not going to use an image there for a new site – just text but it’s much too big. How can I reduce the amount of blank space above and below the text I will be using in the header image area? I would like to be able to see the 3 featured page images above the bottom of the screen. I want to be able to see them without having to scroll down.

Why does the menu appear as it does at the top of this page and the 3 page links are not showing below the image? I want it to look like https://windowtintermastermind.com/.

    Hi @pzick,

The first site you linked to has the Default menu style selected while the second site has the Classic menu style.

If you’d like to use the Classic menu style, navigate to Appearance > Customize in your WordPress admin area and then to the Theme Options panel. From there, check the option next to Classic under Menu Style.

To copy the three column look, first assign the Front Page template to your home page.

To assign a page template: Navigate to the editor for a page and then select from the Template dropdown menu in the Page Attributes module. The Page Attributes module can generally be found to the right hand of the editor. If you can’t see it, select the Screen Options tab in the upper right and then check the option next to Page Attributes to get the module to display.

After the template has been assigned to that page, navigate back to the Theme Options panel under Appearance > Customize and select pages from the Featured Page dropdown menus. The pages you select there will appear in columns on the front page.

If you have any extra questions, then please start a new thread on this forum so that one of my colleagues can help out. ?? You can do that here:

    Thank you.

I want to do the same thing essentially, but is it possible to make the changes only apply to the front page. I’m trying to use the CSS you reccommended above to reduce the space around the slider I’ve placed in place of a header image using the Smart Slider plugin. The CSS you provided made the homepage and its slider look just how I want, but it also reduced the header image space for the rest of my pages, which I don’t want. Suggestions?
