• I would love to be able to edit the upload date on a media file. Is there some plugin that will allow you to do this?

What would be even better is if there were some way to have the upload date convert to the date included in the EXIF info of a photo.

Any ways to make this work? Thanks.

I totally agree that this feature should be implemented.

It’s been a while, but I’m still running into this issue. I have clients who post photos from their jobs that were completed in the past, and if they want to upload photos from that job and keep the date format intact, then I have to hack the database and manually move files. It’s a pain.

WordPress gurus, any chance you could make this a feature? Any chance anyone out there has a plugin that would allow editing of this information? I know of a plugin that will allow moving of files to new created folders, but that’s all I’ve seen.

I too, am on a Quest to find a way to edit the Upload Date of a media file (image) . . I love that I can back-log Posts by entering in Dates from the past – helps me keep track of art that was made at a certain day – especially for an art archive that goes back to late 90’s https://camilographics.com/art-archive

But can I change the upload date? no . . . I’d like to this because the hierarchy of the images for certain plug-ins . .it’s like, once you upload the first image into a post, it’s the first one and that’s it (unless you delete it or replace it using that replace plug-in) . . I want to change the Upload Date, seems so simple why can’t I figure that out? is it something deeper on the server side, a time stamp of sorts?

Sharon this is outside of this thread so i apologize. a while back you had emediate error 500 when you activated wpg3, and said you found guest wasnt activated and this fixed it… would you please elaborate. im nub and still learning.. but would like wpg3 on my buddypress multisite. but get the error 500 soon as i activate. on all pages. I have to physically delete the plugin in order to make site come back up… thanks
