• First thanks for a potentially great plugin. I have bought the editor with a view to enabling users to edit from front end pages. I followed all the instructions – it works in the WP Admin but I cannot get any edit to work on the published page. The user has the correct rights, the page uses the shortcode :
    [cfdb-datatable form=”Contract” edit=”cells”
headers=”site-address=Hospital,… ], I have tried different browsers etc I have been searching for the obvious mistake for quite sometime but now have to hand it over to you

The short code looks basically OK (although not all of it is shown).

    Some thoughts:

    1. Make sure all quotes are closed in the full short code (no syntax error)

    2. Depending on the CSS, sometimes when you click on a cell to edit, you may miss the active area that triggers editing. If there is text click right on it. If trying to edit an empty cells, click near the top inside of the cell (if text shows at the top of the cell).

    3. Your theme may be causing a javascript error with the plugin. Check the browser’s tools to see if there are JS errors reported.

Well for some unbeknown reason it has started working – I haven’t changed anything much – I can edit the cells though the code to hide some columns still isn’t working it shows all the columns :

    … hide=”your-email,your-subject,your-message”]

Once I get this sorted I can turn my attention to the column widths

Make sure there are no line breaks inside your shortcode
