    Hi everyone,

I’ve been trying to google this, but I’m totally lost. Wondering if anyone can clarify. I’m being asked to put a verification code in my homepage, however my homepage is set to show my latest posts and therefore I don’t have an editable page for it in my dashboard. I can’t figure out how to edit the html.

He said I could add the code anywhere on my site if I have “access to edit the website context”. But I have no idea what that means, and google was no help. I tried adding the code to a random page, but it was visible as a string of letters when I previewed the page changes. Can anyone translate and/or offer tips on how to handle this?

  • The HTML for the pages is output by the theme, so theoretically, you could put it in the theme template. However, it’s best if you use a plugin that is specifically for this, either generic adding to the head section or only for adding the verification. (There are plugins for both.)

Thank you! I will probably try a plugin, then. Do you have any in particular that you’d recommend before I do a regular search?
