    I’m using an app called Events Calendar Pro. We’ve used it on several sites and it’s great! But on this one site, we’re getting the following error. It doesn’t happen on the list view of our calendar. Only when we are on a detailed calendar event and we try to edit the body text of an event.

    This string is not ready for translation yet.
    Try again in a moment…

  • Greetings,

    Thanks for reaching out to us!

    Here are some steps to debug this:

    * see if you have any javascript errors in the browser console https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Using_Your_Browser_to_Diagnose_JavaScript_Errors . A printscreen could help.

    * if you have any security or minification plugins please deactivate them and try again. Some caching plugins also have minification settings that can break javascript code, so for testing purposes please disable any caching as well.

    * try and open the website in a different browser just to exclude a browser add-on that might interfere with javascript.

    There are no JavaScript errors in the console.? I do not have any security or minification plugins installed that should be interfering.? I did try a different browser to ensure plugins are caching are not an issue.? Some text on the page allows me to make edits. https://share.cleanshot.com/Qdr5LL6g

    But other text just gives this blue box and when I click on it the site says the string is not ready for translation yet and to try again in a moment… https://share.cleanshot.com/vbLKgDtS

    @andrei202 hello?

    Hey there,

    Apologies for not getting back to you any sooner!

    Is your website hosted with WPEngine? If so, you can make it work by adding the following to your site’s wp-config.php: define( ‘WPE_GOVERNOR’, false );

    If not you can try a compatibility test to find it. *Briefly* disable all other plugins and enable the default Twenty Twenty theme. If this fixes the problem, as it probably will, enable everything one by one or in small chunks, checking each time to see when the problem returns.

    Thank you that fixed it!
