Edit invalid username error message

  • Hi,
    I have launched a site that is utilizing members only access. The site supports many organizations and each organization has one password and login. If they lose their password they can call the company and retrieve it. I would like to change the text and link in this message appearing in Wp-login.php:

    “ERROR: Invalid username. Lost your password?”

    I can’t find where I can do that. Can someone point that out to me please?

  • Try a filter on login_errors or login_messages. I’ve not used either so you’ll just have to play around, but that’s two suitable hooks nonetheless…. ??
