Edit is trying to save files to my computer not my blog

  • Mama Mia…I am having problems with WP lately. I have completely deleted my wp installation and re-installed it all from scratch. Ver 2.5.1 and I am still having the same problems I had with 2.5

    Steps I take with edit are:
    1. do to dashboard and select manage posts
    2. select post to edit
    3. this is an unpublished post
    4. do my thing and click the save button
    5. hangs up for a while and then a box pops up that asks if I want to “open it or save to a file on my hard drive”

    running firefox 2.04.1

    anyone help please?

  • That means your web server borked while rendering the page. For instance, if PHP doesn’t have enough memory allocated you might get that sort of error.

    Check your web server’s error logs to see what’s getting logged.

    Side note: Firefox is up to 2.0.14. You should update
