I don’t want to eliminate the course syllabus listing on the right panel, but I want to make the panel much narrower so that my lesson content has more prominent.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • @rkleinwordpress,

The theme you’re using determines the sidebar to main content area rations and unfortunately the twentyseventeen theme doesn’t provide any options for customizing that ration (at least that I’m aware of).

It is possible to do this with custom CSS. Before diving into trying to write custom CSS for this myself I googled it and found this forum post on modifying the sidebar / content rations of the theme: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/change-the-width-of-copy-and-the-sidebar-widget/

Can you have a stab at using the CSS provided in that post and let me know if that helps?

    Best,

Great help, Thomas. I will let you know if this works. I have never done CSS stuff before, but I’m willing to give it a go.

    Thomas,
    It worked!
The link you sent me contained the CSS code.
And the link within that post sent me to another tutorial that showed me how to insert that CSS code into my theme via Appearance / customize tab.
    Thanks.
