edit link when not logged in

I’m always logged into my blog, so I always have “Edit This :: …” at the bottom of my posts. However, for users not logged in, I noticed that it was simply ” :: …” The double colon is my own doing in the index.php, but how do I change the template so that, if no one is logged in, the line reads something like “Log in to edit :: …”?
