• Hello…! I am the owner of the website: https://www.heartlandcollegesports.com

    As you will see when you go to the page, the error pops up: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘.’ in /home/heartlan/public_html/wp-content/plugins/contextual-related-posts/contextual-related-posts.php on line 989

    I have the “related posts” plug in, which I went to edit at the suggestion of the creator because I wanted a space between the end of posts, and where it says related articles… he told me to do this:

    Add this to the box in custom styles.

    .crp_related {
    margin-top: 30px;
    }

    I went to edit the plug in, and thought I did the right thing. I was kind of guessing since I am not a wordpress pro, but I did not realize there was the potential to crash my entire site!!

    Does anyone have any help they can PLEASE give me on this??? I can’t even get into wordpress without that message showing up. I left open the plug in editing window for that specific plug in…

    Thanks
    Pete

  • You will need to use FTP or Cpanel to access your site files on the server and remove that plugin manually – find it here:

    wp-content
        plugins
           /contextual-related-posts - DELETE THIS FOLDER

    Ask your hosting company for help if you do not know how to use FTP or Cpanel.

    My hosting company will take 1-2 days to get back to me… no good.

    I am in my cpanel… can someone help me on where to go from there to delete it?

    I am not familiar with FTP but I do know the CPanel pretty well…

    Find where WP files are (I don’t use Cpanel) – then find the wp-content folder and inside that is the plugins folder … see above.
