Edit order item meta filed after payment

  • Hello,

    I have added a custom (meta) field to an order item. I need this to be editable only after a payment has been made. I can’t seem to achieve that. Changing the order back to “pending payment”, edit the field and then again to “processing” or “completed” is not acceptable by my client.

    Can anyone help me with this?

    To clarify, the order item meta field should be editable only from the backend form by an admin user.
