    Hi,

Rather odd one here. I just created a page and made it the front page of my website. It’s visible in my “pages” list and I can click to edit it, but when I do, I’m taken to the editor page, but with an old blog post in it. This blog post apparently has two post numbers; the one found in the url when you click on the post from the “posts” section and the one found in the url when I click on this page I just created in the “pages” section. It seems like some sort of database error, where the page or this old post were indexed incorrectly, but I’m not sure how it works. After all, the page displays just fine, I just have now have no way of editing it, which I need to be able to do because there is a bit of formatting to sort out.

PS. Unmaking it the front page (and telling wordpress to use newest posts) does not solve the problem.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Ah, yes. Didn’t think about this having anything to do with plugins. Just shows my newbiness, obviously. The problem seems to be related to “Simple Facebook Connect”. I suppose I should go and ask the developer of that plugin to help me resolve the problem ??

    Cheers
