    Hey peeps,

When I try to save a page, or rather click on update, it does not update but open up my website. What gives? Can’t figure this out.

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Thanks

  • those having problems with hostpapa please lodge a ticket and send them this thread to prove it is likely an issue on their end.

    it is frustrating.

Sent a ticket in this morning and still haven’t herd anything from them. Great service!

Sent a request yesterday, but still no answer. Might be time to move hosting providers I guess.

I’ve received a response asking me for my WordPress login adminpanel details so that they can do some trouble shooting. I haven’t provided it yet as I’m being cautious. I just wanted first if this is usual practice .i.e. for hosting support to trouble shoot in your wordpress site?

I would attempt to set up a temporary admin account for them to use and delete once done. I can see that there would be a need for them to access and test possible solutions.

    Good advice – thanks Mark

It has been two days and no response from Hostpapa as yet. Anyone else having better luck in getting an answer from them?

Hi, I am having the same problems since Monday and am with Hostpapa myself. I have been in touch with them to rectify the issue and they keep telling me its a mod_security issue, and they keep saying that they have updated the mod_security but alas, updating or creating posts is still not working. I will send them a new ticket with a link to this forum, as obviously its a major issue! I will be in touch should they reply….

I also have the same issue and with HostPapa. Ive raised two tickets as it seems to take 12 – 14 hours to get a response. It’s a big issue by the looks! Pretty disappointed to be honest with HostPapa’s support.

Except the OP, everybody else, as per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic. That way you stand a good chance of getting full attention to your specific issue. Despite any similarity in symptoms, your issue is likely to be completely different because of possible differences in physical servers, accounts, hosts, plugins, theme, configurations, etc. Thus one problem, on one setup is not indicative of the functionality and reliability of an application as a whole.

    Hi TARA

I think this is a good thread ?? Have spoken to the people from whom I have purchased my theme from, they had a look and come to the conclusion this is a hosting problem specific to Hostpapa. I have also contacted other hosting providers, and they said the same thing (they might be a bit bias)

Some of us have used this thread as an example for Hostpapa to investigate the issue on their side, without this thread and the contribution from other members, we would not have come to a conclusion that it is most likely our hosting provider that needs to make changes ??

Okay. Is your host “Hostpapa” investigating this issue now?

Have you guys created a thread at Hostpapa’ support forum? If you have the link to that thread, let us leave a link to that thread here for everybody’s reference, so that people would know where to look for further info on this issue.

Yes, a few members and myself have opened tickets with Hostpapa, and they are investigating the issue. There is no other thread but this one, that myself and some members have linked to Hostpapa as a reference of the number of us having the exact same issue.

We hope Hostpapa will get back to us soon, and if it is their fault that causes our issues (which at this point it seems to be the case) We shall be posting regular updates on what Hostpapa suggest.

    Hello,

As an update it looks like this is a mod_security error. Please provide hostpapa with your IP and they will fix right away

    Hi
Yes they’ve fixed it for me now. It was the mod-security issue as above,

    What a relief!
