Edit Permalink

  • Running Theme Satisfy/WP4.8.1 on localhost (XAMPP/Windows 10)
    How can I edit a permalink?
    I had pages (i.e. sub-menu items) for “Archives 2013-14” but want to change it to “Archives 2013” with a separate page for “Archives 2014”. When I try to change either one, it defaults to “Archives 2013-2”. I then tried deleting pages, emptying trash and adding new page “Archives 2013”. It again defaults to “Archives 2013-2”. Short of re-installing WordPress (lol…I hope) what can I do? Archives 2017, 2016, & 2015 work fine because I started with one page per year!

    First, empty your trash.
    The naming is probably because you have ‘Archives 2013’ sitting in the trash WordPress will create ‘Archives 2013-2’ and ‘Archives 2013-3’ because the name ‘Archives 2013’ already exists
