edit post page won’t load

  • Hi all,

    I’m reposting on this topic, because noone has responded to the first one I posted on Monday.
    When I try to edit a post, the edit-post page gets to 38%, and then freezes.
    I’ve tried deactivating all plugins, and that doesn’t fix the problem.
    I’ve also tried deleting and reuploading the entire wp-admin directory, and the problem still hasn’t been resolved.
    I’m using WP2.0.2.
    I’ve also tried opening the page in FF, and still can’t get it to load.
    Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

  • Yeah, I have the same problem. This thing is very annoying. This started recently and I am using 2.04

    I am having a similar problem, it will let me edit the post and will post the changes, but it never returns back to the Manage screen. I’ve tried on several installs and can’t nail it down to any one thing … reproducing it is hard because it is sporadic.

    same thing is happening to me (WP 2.0.5). i’m not too keen on upgrading to 2.1 because i have a lot of customizations on my page and don’t really feel like hassling with the transition…

    has anyone discovered any fix for this? i have noticed that for me personally IE7 (though i hate to admit even having it on my computer)is handling the Manage pages better than Firefox 2.0 at this point. but…anything that will free me from having to use internet explorer would be greatly appreciated.

    Had the same problem but resolved it by deactivating all plugins. Strange, as I had tried that earlier as well (before updating to 2.1.2), but it didn’t help then.
