    Hi,

I’ve got your plugin almost working as I’d like however I’m having a problem getting published posts to show up for users.

I can login as a user, submit a post, publish the post as admin but when I navigate back to the user’s account area and click on the “Posts” option I just see a “No posts found” link. I’ve made sure to enable the option for “users can edit post” in the general settings section. I can see the post in the normal WP admin dashboard so it’s definitely there.

Do you have any ideas where I’m going wrong with this please?

    Many thanks,

    James

    Hi @jmdesignsolutions,

It sounds like you’re experiencing an issue with the WP User Frontend plugin where published posts submitted by users are not showing up in the user’s account area. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help you resolve this issue:

    1. Check Post Status: Ensure that the posts you are submitting are set to “Published” status when you, as an admin, publish them. Sometimes, posts might be saved as drafts or have a different status, which could prevent them from appearing in the user’s account area.
    2. User Capabilities:?Verify that the user roles assigned to your users have the necessary capabilities to view their own published posts. In the WP User Frontend settings, you mentioned enabling “users can edit posts.” Make sure that you also enable the capability to view published posts.
    3. Frontend Permissions:?In the WP User Frontend settings, go to the “Permissions” or “User Roles” section and double-check the permissions for the user roles in question. Ensure that users can view their posts.
    4. Theme and Plugin Conflicts: Disable other plugins temporarily and switch to a default WordPress theme (e.g., Twenty Twenty-One) to rule out conflicts. Sometimes, conflicts between themes and plugins can cause issues.
    5. Caching:?Clear any caching plugins or server-side caches that might be causing old content to be displayed.

By following these steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the issue with published posts not showing up for users in the WP User Frontend plugin.

Thanks for the reply, I’ll try going through those points now.

Just one more question, is there a shortcode for showing the user’s submitted posts if I want to display them on another page?

    Many thanks,

    James

    Hi @jmdesignsolutions,

Is there a shortcode for showing the user’s submitted posts if I want to display them on another page?

Currently, WP User Frontend doesn’t have a built-in shortcode to display a user’s submitted posts on another page. However, you can achieve this functionality by using custom code.

    Hope you understand.

    Regards!
