Edit product page – no ‘general’ tab for price when variable product is selected

Hi,

I have a new install of WordPress (4.8.1) and Woocommerce (3.1.2) and my theme (Claue) has installed some demo content.

The problem is on the Edit Product page – when you set the product data to ‘variable product’ the ‘general’ tab disappears so you are unable to fill in the product price. The ‘general’ tab reappears if you change it to ‘simple product’.

Also in product quick edit there is no price box for these products set up as ‘variable product’.

I have tried everything I can think of to try to fix this – disabled all plugins except woocommerce, changed theme to default WP theme and tried previous versions of woocommerce but still no joy.

Interestingly when the page is loading the ‘general’ tab does flash up so I know it’s there but then it always disappears again.

Hope there’s an easy solution to this!
